My career took a flight after this

I was not making any progress in my career. I had been trying for promotion but it did not work at all. Someone suggested to take the 500-174 certificate exam. But i was a little skeptical, frankly speaking. Firstly, i did not know how a certificate will add value to my career. And secondly, how will i study for the same with no time left.
