Premium access to your networking certification exam runs for 60 days from the moment it is activated rather than from your first session, so the day you switch it on is a decision in its own right.

The second is when to start a fixed period running, which turns on your calendar. Early sessions earn their place through what they send you back to rather than through what they score. An item you could not resolve is worth more than the mark it cost you, and the work it generates belongs in the documentation and on the kit rather than here. Let the sittings in this stretch set your reading, and do not judge the window by how many of them you have got through.

The Middle Stretch: Repetition, Including the Sittings You Would Rather Skip
This is the longest part of the window and the part it exists to hold. Attempts inside the period are uncapped, so one more sitting costs an evening and nothing else; mix the two session lengths as the week allows, and which of them answers which question is compared on its own page. Address arithmetic is what this stretch is for. Working out which of two candidate aggregates covers a set of site prefixes and nothing beyond them is a calculation, and the whole point of meeting that kind of item over and over against a clock is to stop it being one.

The Final Stretch: Stop Adding, Start Rehearsing
Near the exam the purpose changes. Why the Start Date Is a Purchase Decision Rather Than a Study Decision
The period begins when access is granted rather than when you first sit something, and it runs on calendar days whatever else is going on. Switching it on against a blueprint you have not read spends the window on preparation that has not started yet. There is nothing lost by waiting, either: where the certification you are preparing for carries a demo, that sitting is there beforehand and costs nothing. If a period does run out while you are still preparing, what you buy the second time is another single purchase on the same terms rather than an extension of the one that ended.
Start simulation when a timed sitting would tell you something your reading cannot, and start the access period when you are in a position to fill it. Those are two decisions, and only the second one has a clock attached to it.
